Give me a Cellar Door Among the Gum Trees

I’ve been around the world
A couple of times or maybe more
I’ve seen the sights, I’ve had delights
On every foreign shore
But when my mates all ask me
The place that I adore
I tell them right away…

Give me a Cellar Door among the gums trees
With lots of jets skies
A sangria or two, an emu
A dunny right up the back
Murray river out the front
And old Al Capone

You can see me on the river
Fishing with my rod
Hoping to catch a cod
Just you and me, a jug or three
And later on, we’ll settle down
And roll out on the lawn
And watch the musicians play

There’s Hogwash up the corner
And a sandbar down the bank
And a riverside winery they’ve opened up,
where the frothys are cold
I’ll be heading there tomorrow
The place never gets old
The one that’s called Caudo

Give me a Cellar Door among the gums trees
With lots of jets skies
A sangria or two, an emu,
A dunny right up the back,
Murray river out the front
And old Al Capone

You can pull in off the river,
Or drive in with the car
Cruise in from the houseboat,
Head straight up to the bar.
We’ll order woodfired pizzas,
they’re always 5 gold star
We’ll be back again next weekend..

Give me a Cellar Door among the gums trees
With lots of jets skies
A sangria or two, an emu
A dunny up the back
Murray river out the front
And old Al Capone
